Upcoming Events for October
Fall is here! We've got some cool events planned for the season, starting with several veg-friendly ideas this month:
Saturday, October 12: Sam will be speaking at EarthSave - our friends in plant-based eating - about his experiences in the animal rights scene and how important activism is. A free vegan cooking class is also held before the talk, at 4:30pm. More info here.
Thursday, October 17: Christina is hosting a free vegan cooking class at Earth Friends Cafe, and we're following it up with the screening of Texas Chainsaw Massacre, a movie that you didn't even know was about animal rights!
Saturday, October 19: Monthly dining out at Roots! Join Eden and the gang for delicious vegetarian food. RSVP please, at our Meetup Page.
Friday, October 25: Annie May's Sweet Cafe is having a Halloween Party! Vegan, gluten-free treats abound, and kids are encourage to come in costume. The party runs until 9:00pm and you can RSVP for us here, or visit Annie May's website here.
Bonus: We're also tabling at the Clifton Sustainability Fair that night!
Saturday, October 26: Our newest LVI volunteer, Christina, is hosting a HallowVegan Costume & Potluck Party at Mama's Hip. This is another great opportunity to meet new vegan families, make some awesome "ghoulish grub" (plant-based, of course), and try some fun Halloween costumes for the kids! RSVP here.
